On June 13, 2017, Ann M. Brasher, who is a believer in Jesus Christ as her personal savior was called home to her Heavenly home. Ann was born December 1, 1929 in Dermott, Arkansas. Her parents were Mary Stone Manasco Wells and Stanly Lee Manasco who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Melvin Brasher. Ann and Melvin were married in El Dorado, Arkansas and lived there for several years before moving to Luling, Louisiana. Melvin Brasher worked at Monsanto in Luling for many years. On June 13, 2017, Ann M. Brasher, who is a believer in Jesus Christ as her personal savior was called home to her Heavenly home. Ann was born December 1, 1929 in Dermott, Arkansas. Her parents were Mary Stone Manasco Wells and Stanly Lee Manasco who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Melvin Brasher. Ann and Melvin were married in El Dorado, Arkansas and lived there for several years before moving to Luling, Louisiana. Melvin Brasher worked at Monsanto in Luling for many years. Ann had several jobs in her lifetime, including working for the St. Charles Parish School Board and then also for International Matex Tank Terminal (IMTT) in Avondale, Louisiana. Ann was 87 years old.
Ann leaves behind her son, Mel Alan Brasher and her daughter-in-law, Grace Wilson Brasher of Longview, Texas. She also leaves behind her daughter, Beth Brasher Treadway of Chalmette, Louisiana. She left behind a granddaughter, Megan Brasher Boswell and grandson-in-law, Evan Boswell, of Shreveport, Louisiana. She also left behind a grandson, Christopher Treadway of Chalmette, Louisiana. She also leaves behind a sister, Ellen Manasco Bell of Luling, Louisiana and many nieces, nephews and other family members as well as many friends that she has come to know over many years while on this earth. She will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Ann suffered with Alzheimer's the last years of her life and resided at Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan, Louisiana for the last three years of her life.
